The relaxing side of Malia, away from the
hustle
and bustle of the main town.
The port is peaceful, tranquil and quiet in
comparison.
Just 15 mins walk towards the archeological
site along the
road that runs parallel to the beach.

There are two lovely restaurants set around
the port:
"Seasons" which is open from 10am until 6pm,
serves amazing food and wonderful home made
cakes

"Malia Port" which is open from
10am until 10.30pm
It is well know throughout the region for
fresh fish dishes

You can sit and watch the coming and goings
of the port from
small fishing boats to larger pleasure boats |

There is also a little white church
set up on a hill
to the left of the port overlooking the sea
where if you come down just before
the sun goes down you will see
some amazing sunsets over the Malia bay |

There are a few small family owned hotels
around the port and a few houses
which belong to local people. |
