Are taxi's licensed?
Just like everywhere, in Greece there are licensed cabs and non licensed cabs - the licensed ones can be recognized in exactly the same way as they can at home.
The driver will have is photo licence on display and they will generally be waiting for you at the taxi rank.
They are all on a meter so make sure it is reset when you start your journey.
Ask the price of your journey first and make sure the driver radios through to base - just like they do in the UK the destination where he is taking you.
The majority of taxi drivers will speak English, if feel unsure, wait for the next one.
