This is how the story goes…. For about twelve years now quality is our number one rule.
Crete had always been famous for growing vegetables, breeding animals and of course producing pure olive oil.
All because of the climate and the soil Crete has. People say we live in a blessed island. Anything you need you can find it here. That’s what gives us, in Kalesma, the great opportunity of being able to give you descent and healthy food.

Kalesma, The Restaurant. Enjoy your dinner, while we fullfil all your senses expectations!
The restaurant as a building dates about 150 years back. the walls are made of stone, like the way they used to do then.
In the middle of the inner part you can see a traditional arch and if you follow the stairs they’ll take you to the balcony, where you can have your meal in a romantic atmosphere.
Beautiful flowers can be seen all over the place, giving a refreshing summer feeling, while the blown glass lights hanging on the walls are something quite extraordinary i should say.
Atmosphere like the one mentioned above, should be followed by the sound of selected Greek music and international as well. All the above make you feel like letting your mind travel and let go of yourself.

Our Cuisine. In Kalesma restaurant you will be able to find a menu of about 80 dishes that can satisfy even the most difficult ones when it comes to food.Vegetarian, fish or meat dishes, all cooked in different ways, and all you have to do is to choose what you like when the time comes.A typical Greek way of having your meal is what we call "meze". A selection of different starters that includes anything you want from the menu (vegetables, meat, fish), that you can share between 2 or more people, and you don’t have to take a main meal after.It is a complete meal on it’s own so all you have to worry about is your desert.. which, by the way, will surely keep you satisfied.

Traditional main plates. And of course, traditional plates such as moussaka, roast lamb, kokkinisto,
soutzoukakia, dakos, tzatziki and others. When it comes to desert, highly
recommended are the famous chocolate souffle, with or without ice cream,
and the traditional sweet cheese pies with honey. You may, of course, end your dinner with a nice hot or cold coffee or a drink
of your choice. And why not having a Raki in the pure Cretan style?

A great variety of local wines of different grapes, can make your night special, by giving you the chance of sending all your thoughts back home, and make your holidays feel more like a journey. Wines from Crete or northern Greece, such as moshofilero, xinomavro, roditis, agiorgitiko, cabernet sauvignon, chateau Julia, sauvignon Blanc, syrah.Wines with smooth, dry, sweet, fruity, strong or light taste, always according to your preference. Local house wine is also available in the restaurant.
