This is the best bar in Malia, the Peach Snapps is great, so is the amstels and its the only place that plays U2.

Hi, I'm in Malia the week beginning 6th July. I play guitar and sing in bars in London and wondered if you have guest nights there when it would be possible to play for half an hour or something. I've played for years and I perform popular pub stuff like the Beatles and Paul Weller - the stuff people can sing to. I had a request for American Pie when I was playing in a bar in Deux Alpes earlier this year, but I found out that that particular song was taboo as the bar staff threw ice at me till I stopped. The rest of the songs went down well though I'm glad to say.

Alright,I was in Malia in 98,99and Ill be back in 2000.You might remember us we were there around the 25th of August. You probably won't even remember me, but I was in Malia twice this summer and it was the best experience ever. The Mean Fiddler is the best pub in Malia, I saw Steve one night outside The Corner and told him that the Mean Fiddler was the best, I asked Mike for a job next summer and he said yes. Just got back from my holiday and I have to say that your bar is brilliant. The music is fantastic and the girls doing the irish dancing last week made us all laugh. Had some execllent nights in the mf. We were 2 girls from yorkshire who had met some lads from Kent and all of us visited the mf on many occassions and often didnt want to leave. Hi there we are in the process of re-designing and updating a website called 'Go Crete' for young travellers. we are scheduled to be in Malia on the 19th of June for 2 weeks to write our report on the night life, pubs, clubs, shops, car/scooter hire resturants etc etc.

Just a quick mail to say that this is by far the best bar in Malia. Was out there for the last two weeks in June and had the time of my life. The staff and the atmosphere in the Mean Fiddler are fantastic. I recommend going here if you are up for a laugh and a good time.

The Mean Fiddler is the best bar in Malia. I was there every night for two weeks. The music is great, the drink is grand and the craic is mighty. The staff are the best!!! especially Cian (bar man), Who really enjoyed telling me his Titanic joke! I love the way you can play the bodhran and do jig on the bar stools. The only thing i miss about Malia is the Mean Fiddler.
